Back to School! September 11, 2008

I would like to welcome all the new families at Little People.  We’re excited about the new school year!  As a reminder, music time is every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:30am.  On Fridays, we include Bible Story as part of the program.  “Sharing Day” is every Thursday.  Please help your child to select an item to share.  Here are some suggestions: a toy, a book, a photo, a box of crayon, a painting, a drawing, etc.  It could be anything that would allow your child to talk about it in front of his/her classmates.  (If your child doesn’t come on Thursdays, he/she may bring the sharing on Fridays.)

 

 

Please mark your calendar for our Annual Family Back-to-School Potluck!  It is going to be on Saturday, October18, 4:30pm-6:30pm.  Children activities include jumping house, face painting, and crafts.  Teachers-Parents meeting will be from 6:00pm-6:30pm.  You’ll have the opportunity to find out the initial assessment of your child at the meeting.  Don’t miss it!

     Sept 7, 2008

     Kyle is doing great so far.  He adjusted very well in kindergarten with a very nice teacher.

     There was no crying or clinging at all on the first day.  I was very surprised.
     The only struggle we’ve had is getting up early, but he’s doing that as well now.

 

     You and the teachers really prepared him well for kindergarten.  They are singing
     a lot in class and will also do ’sharing day’ every Thursday like you did. 

     Pls say hi to Mrs. DeWree and tell her that Kyle is doing great.
